Squadron Leader Pharick Olson Gibson R.A.F. 1939-45 STAR; AFRICA STAR with bar NORTH AFRICA 1942-1943; BURMA STAR; DEFENCE MEDAL, WAR MEDAL with MENTION IN DESPATCHES and ELIZABETH II CORONATION MEDAL 1953 The group is unnamed as issued. But, comes with original documents, attributing the medals to P. O. Gibson. The group was bought at Noonans 9 October 2024 Sale as part of lot 255. With an original letter from the British Legation, Bangkok, dated 19 August 1946, thanking Gibson for his efficient co-operation in arrangements for the departure of the Royal party, in named O.H.M.S. envelope; A letter of thanks from the Air Ministry, Whitehall, dated 29 March 1961, and an invitation to a garden party at Buckingham Palace on 12 July 1963.
