Rare 1945 Maroon Binding Hardy Boys #24: The Short-Wave Mystery 1945 For sale is a rare 1945 MAROON edition of the Hardy Boys #24: The Short-Wave Mystery. This scarce version was published by Grosset and Dunlap for a short time. It is valued by collectors because of its unique color that differentiates it from all other published versions. Condition: For its age, the book can be classified as good/fair. It has a significant amount of wear to the edges, corners, and outer spine. Surprisingly, the interior spine of the book is is solid condition with no separation visible (see pictures). The front cover also shows a wrinkle on the center right. There is some minor staining in the book (see pictures). However, a much bigger majority of the pages are undamaged. There is no writing, highlighting, tears, missing pages, or creases. There is a tiny penciling on the inside cover. The pages are overall in great shape and the book is smoke free. For it’s age is a great copy with a good internal spine and nice pages. I have done my best to show all the defects of the book although its impossible for me to identify every little thing with such an old book.
