I have here for sale a rare book entitled DROME DRONE VOLUME TWO JANUARY-JUNE 1945 printed for the Royal Air Force by The Efik Press, Accra, British West Africa, in 1945. First edition. Here we have 6 issue of the Drome Drone magazine published by the Royal Air Force for personnel serving in Accra, British West Africa, during World War II. The magazines included a mix of articles, both serious and humorous, stories, poems, puzzles, jokes, some b/w illustrations, and cartoons and was priced at 3d per issue. The Editorial of the June issue includes news of Victory in Europe and how it was celebrated in Accra. This is rare. Only one copy showing on COPAC and this only includes volume I numbers 5, 6, 8 and 10; and Volume II number 2 and 4. The issues are held in green hardboards, stamped with title details, and the book is protected by an unclipped dust jacket and clear plastic wrapper. Mixture of yellow and white pages. All pages are firm and the book is in very good condition. Six issues are included: 23, 23, 23, 23, 23, 23 pages, plus adverts 8 pages. 22.5 x 14.5 cm.
