Lemon Eucalyptus Seeds – Evergreen Tree (Eucalyptus / Corymbia citrodora) * Common Names = Lemon Eucalyptus or Blue-Spotted Gum Tree * Tall and slender evergreen tree – native to Australia, where it is used for structural timber * Smooth, gray bark and narrow 7-inch-long yellow-green lemon-scented leaves. * Sometimes grown as an annual from seed – rapidly reaching 6-8′ tall in just one growing season. * The essential oil of the Corymbia citriodora mainly consists of about 80-90% citronella, used in perfumery, potpourri, and as an insect repellent. * Aboriginal traditions use very small amounts of oil from the leaves to relieve coughs, colds, sore throats, and as an antibacterial. * Can grow in a container as an indoor or outdoor ornamental plant. * Drought-tolerant and does well in poor soil. * Not suitable for cold, windy climates.
