I have owned this amp for several years having rescued it from a console where it had sat unused for many years. It was always my intention to put it back into use but I’ve got too many projects. As you can see from the chassis pictures this is unmolested inside and doesn’t show any signs of concern with regard to heat issues. You will definitely need to recap this and run it up on a variac. The tubes are not included but are not hard to find types with many NOS and new options. These are highly regarded for their iron and if I was keeping it would probably be looking at Dave Gillespie’s EFB II setup over the stock configuration. Condition wise this is not showroom perfect but is presentable. The only items of note are one of the hole plugs on the front and one of the feet being missing. One note based on a question regarding the presence of a group of Sprague Orange Drops in this amp. The question speculated that they may not be original. It is my belief that they are original but atypical, other images of this model show these caps in a brown covering. The caps in this amp are installed underneath other parts and the solder is similar to other joints. If they are replacements they have been in place for a long time.
