An antique English prattware model of a cockerel or rooster. With mottled decoration in ochres and yellow. These rare figurines are an excellent addition to any period collection! Date: Late 18th or Early 19th Century Overall Condition: This cockerel or rooster is in overall good, as-pictured used estate condition. Condition Details: with what appears to be an old professional repair to the base, some glaze losses (particularly to the comb), some fine and light glaze and surface scratches throughout, and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Marks: The base bears an old partial D. M. P. Manheim label with a Whieldon attribution. Maker: Attributed to Whieldon Measurements: Height: ca. 8 1/2 in. Width: ca. 7 in. Depth: ca. 3 3/4 in.
