>Offered here for your consideration is an old & original 1940’s **REGISTER TO VOTE HERE** cardboard sign , from Alameda, California !! Please see all seven photos, as they are an important part of my description. Found at a local sale, this very rare thick cardboard sign measures approximately 14″ x 11″ . This vintage election sign reads: “Register To Vote Here – Your Affidavit of Registration is taken under Oath . Check written statements before signing” . Also identified on the signage is the Aladmeda County elections clerk, John Joseph Kingston (John Kingston); I was able to research John Kingston, who was Alameda’s county clerk in 1942. In the fine print along the bottom is the union printing logo. <> History : Alameda is a city in Alameda County, California. It is located on Alameda Island and Bay Farm Island. It is adjacent to and south of Oakland, California and east of San Francisco, California across the San Francisco Bay. Outstanding piece of vintage political memorabilia!! Condition: this vintage sign exhibits moderate-heavy age/handling faults, to include soiling, creasing, bumps, bruises and glue residue on the sign’s reverse. With that being said, not many of these signs (if any!) could have survived fully intact. The physical integrity of the sign is solid , even with the stated aging issues!
