The Big Mouth Bubbler is a 6.5 gallon primary fermenter, specifically designed for beer brewing. (Although it could be cross-purposed for other fermentation uses.) It has a wide mouth — making it easy to clean, and it has two exchangeable tops — one that accepts one bung, the other accepts two bungs, to aid in allowing the release of CO2 gas and preventing bubbling over. The 6.5 gallon fermenter is also designed to give the headspace necessary for primary fermentation of 5 gallons of wort. This particular fermenter also conveniently has a sticky brewer’s thermometer attached to the exterior.
