Yanagisawa A-990 Alto Saxophone ELIMONA Description No problems in normal use Accessories Hard case Pad saver Product Description Yanagisawa’s “masterpiece” Elimona was introduced in the 1970s. In the 1990s, the Elimona A-880 was modified to meet the needs of players by making it easier to use. The 990 series is equipped with Yanagisawa’s distinctive upper-style neck, and the bell is inlaid with a medallion-shaped emblem reminiscent of the Elimona. The bell and body are secured by a kinematic support, and the F key is fitted with a mechanism to prevent resonance of the right hand balance key when playing low notes. There are no dents that are noticeable, but the player’s condition has a certain amount of signs of use, such as minor scratches and peeling of the lacquer in areas that are often touched by the hand. There is some discoloration of the lacquer in some areas, especially on the bottom of the U-tube. There is also rust on some parts. Playability is good since maintenance and replacement of defective soft parts have been completed. The tampo is in relatively clean condition, although there are some parts that feel a little used, so it can be used as is for the time being. The thumb rest and thumb hook have been replaced with a brass YANAGISAWA Sam’s Wizard. A hard case and pad saver are included. Following on from the Erimona, the 990 laid the foundation for the current WO series. We would like you to try this one while feeling the history of YANAGISAWA.
