Black cloth covered boards with gilt lettering and graphics on spine. Previous owner’s name on FFEP, shadow transfers on front and back free end papers. Age-toning to external page edges. Lower external edges are trimmed but of varying lengths. 15 illustrations including frontispiece. A number of the pages from 354-416 are unopened. Internally clean and with snug text block. Gray-blue paper dust jacket is lightly soiled overall and sunned on spine and folds. Fore-edge folds are creased. Lower right corner of front jacket panel has a 1/2″ closed vertical tear along the fore-edge fold. Slight crimping along edges at head and tail of jacket spine. Minimal rubs on fore-edge corner with very small amount of loss. Please use close-up options for best inspection and in support of condition descriptions.
