The Tamper removes air pockets in your blender by pushing the ingredients (fruits, nuts, vegetables) into the blades of the Vitamix blender. By removing the air pockets and blending the ingredients together, it allows your drink to have a smoother and more desirable consistency. The wooden T-handle keeps the tamper just above the blades to blend as your blender should and will not hit the blades of your Vitamixer. The seal keeps the Action Dome from leaking all over the place, keeping the liquids in the pitcher, where they belong, thus, no mess.
