Up for sale is red western columbine, aquilegia Formosa, Sitka columbine . 200 seeds. these are the cutest columbine anywhere with their multitude of red and yellow flowers in late spring. they get a little taller than the eastern variety, about 2′. I have found them growing in moist, semi shade to full, dry sun. they will last a little longer in a little shade and some water. the seeds will grow without cold treatment, but you will get allot more seeds sprouting with some time in the fridge or plant the seeds outdoors in the fall to sprout in spring.
