Vintage Obsolete Washington Mutual CD Deposit Legal Folder & Deposit Envelopes Description Up for sale is a lot of obsolete/vintage Washington Mutual Bank related paraphernalia. Included in this lot is a Washington Mutual branded legal sized folder and an assortment of ATM, Drive Up, and Deposit Envelopes. The legal sized folder appears to be from June of 2007; as there’s a date printed on the lower right corner on the back of it which reads 06/07 right next to a number that reads 20668. This folder exhibits some signs of wear and tear throughout it; brought on by overall age, previous use and/or general storage, with a noticeable rip occurring on the front of the folder just a bit above the pocket on the inside. Furthermore, there is also a noticeable crease mark on that very same left side pocket on the inside; as it may have accidentally folded over on itself whilst this folder was kept in storage. Additionally there are crease marks along the folds which have turned white in the areas where it would normally be light or dark blue (i.e. on the exterior or interior of the folder). The rightmost inner pocket also has some slits on it; which were probably used for place holding bank customer credentials; like ID’s and/or debit cards. If I remember correctly, I believe this folder was provided to customers that were opening a cash deposit CD, but it may have also been given to customers for a variety of other reasons that only people that work in the banking industry can say for sure. Also included in this lot is a Washington Mutual ATM Deposit Envelope; which bears the yellow and dark blue Washington Mutual logo. This envelope has an adhesive strip on the small flap and bears a date of 3-03 on the bottom right corner on the front of the envelope after a numbered prefix that reads 86000. This envelope exhibits some signs of wear on it; appearing mostly in the form of aged yellowing on the surface of the envelope. It also has a stamp on it in between the two arrows that reads Insert This End this side up along with two circular cut outs dots in the center. This envelope is approximately 8 & 7/8″ wide by 3 & 15/16″ tall (not counting the flap… which accounted for would come out to 4 & 5/8″ tall). The other envelope included in this lot is a Deposit envelope which is not for ATM use. This envelope has a date of 11/03 written on the lower left on the back of the envelope following a numbered code prefix that reads 3181. This envelope is different from the others in that it’s a standard sized envelope, which is just a bit smaller than the aforementioned ATM deposit envelope but still much bigger than the other drive up envelopes included in this lot. This envelope has some noticeable signs of wear on it; appearing mostly in the form of brownish looking stains near the lower right on the back of the envelope located near the Washington Mutual logo. Additionally there are also some minor signs of wear and tear occurring on the middle in the front of the envelope just underneath the adhesive flap; which was originally just a stain that was intentionally rubbed out to see if it could be removed, but wound up affecting the area around it. This envelope measures approximately 8 & 5/8″ wide by 3 & 5/8″ tall (not counting the flap; which accounted for would come out to 4 & 7/8″ tall, more or less). Finally, there are a total of four mini sized Drive Up Wamu branded envelopes; one of which bears a date of 5/02 while the other three are dated 10/02. All of them seem to have the same prefix of 52 right before the date printed on the lower left corner on the front of the envelope. Two of these envelopes have yellowed a bit from age (and those are one of the 10/02 dated envelopes along with the 5/02 dated one) while the other two look much whiter in appearance. They all have visible crease marks along the main folds of their non-adhesive flaps along with a half moon circular cut out that was used for conveniently placing an ID and/or bank debit card during an ATM drive thru session. All of these envelopes measure approximately 7 & 1/8″ wide by 3 & 3/8″ tall (not counting the flap; which accounted for would make the overall height come out to 5 & 1/8″ more or less). Some of these envelopes have minor discrepancies for the flaps have a slightly different sloped shape to them, but they are otherwise very close in the overall aforementioned measurement. Even though this might not be the most coveted bank related items out there, it’s still a pretty collectible find of a lot related to a bank that is no longer in existence; I’m sure there must be a collector out there in this particular niche market that may be on the lookout for things such as this or perhaps maybe even a movie studio that could use some authentic bank paraphernalia as templates to make props out of.
