“My Little Pony” is the name of a line of pony toys created by Hasbro. There are four “generations” of My Little Pony: the original toys (G1) were introduced in 1982 and produced until 1992. Petite Ponies, part of the vintage MLP collection,are the smallest MLP ever made. The first Petite Ponies were released in 1989, around the time that production of new regular-sized My Little Ponies started to drop off.There were three sets of Petites with plastic manes and tails molded onto their bodies, and three sets of Petittes with long, brushable tails made of pony hair. There are also eight Petite playsets. The playsets came with furniture and one or two Petite ponies. No Petite playsets were printed after 1989, nor were any Petite ponies with molded plastic mane and tails. Each Petite is made of hard plastic and stands on a small circular platform the same color as her body. This platform helps her to stay upright, but it also has another use: on the underside of the platform is a deep groove in the shape of a horseshoe. By fitting this groove over horseshoe-shaped “locks” on the Petite playsets, you could use any Petite Pony as a key for opening doors or operating tiny machinery. ( ponylandpress.com) The Heart Petite pony has a bright pink pearlized body and aqua pearlized hair. Her symbol is a blue heart with wings, very much like the hearts in Hearttkhrob’s symbol. She is in the rearing pose. This pony is 1 1/4″ tall in like new condition. Rare because they were only made for one year! It was hard to get good pictures.
