Vintage Ladies Rolex Tudor Oyster Royal, 1963 Model 7935, SERVICED Dating from 1963 this (manual wind) Tudor watch is from the period when the cases and bracelets were made by Rolex, and marked as such. This watch has genuine Rolex case, bracelet and crown (all with Rolex logos). The watch has just had a full service and refurbishment: complete strip, inspection, clean, lubricated, tested and regulated. The case and bracelet have been polished and refinished to remove marks and scratches. New mainspring, glass and pendant tube are fitted. Please ask if you want full details. I try to be as honest and accurate as possible in the description, please ask if you need more info. Movement: Calibre Tudor (ETA) 1170. This is a 17 Jewel manual wind movement running at 1800A/h with a sweep second hand. The balance has KIF shock protection and a new mainspring is fitted. As can be seen from the pics, the movement is in very good condition, running strongly and regulated to keep good time (see Timegrapher pic) The watch winds easily, and the hands set smoothly. Dial and Hands : The white dial is in very good condition with no marks or fading. The black writing “TUDOR OYSTER, ROYAL, SHOCK RESISTING, SWISS” and the Tudor symbol are all clear and undamaged. The silver coloured hour markers are all clean and unmarked. The silver coloured hands have some slight corrosion, but this is really only noticeable under magnification. The watch originally had Radium dots on the dial (outside the hour markers) and in the centre of the hour and minute hands. This has been replaced with safe modern lume (see pic of watch in dark) Case and Glass : The stainless steel case and bezel and case back have been polished to remove scratches. As with all Rolex, the serial number is stamped on the side of the case between the lugs (at 6 o’clock). The case back is stamped “ORIGINAL OYSTER CASE BY ROLEX GENEVA” with the Rolex crown symbol. The screw-down crown has the Rolex logo. A new pendant tube (the bit the crown screws on to) is fitted. New case gaskets are fitted. The case width (excl crown) is about 23mm A new glass is fitted Bracelet : Genuine Rolex bracelet with adjustable clasp and stretchable links. The clasp works correctly. The stainless steel has been polished and the outside re-brushed. From normal viewing distance no marks are visible. (Under very close inspection/magnification, a few marks are visible, but stainless steel is quite soft so scratches are expected on a 60yo watch). At maximum clasp adjustment, the bracelet + watch length is about 17cm (quite long for a ladies watch), but the links are sprung loaded and expand, so could be worn on a larger wrist.
