Vintage Home Bureau Cookbook Spiral Bound 1949 . This is the book’s 6th edition, from April 1949, by the LaSalle County Illinois Home Bureau. It includes 210 pages plus an index. A number of unique sections included: Envelope for favorite clipped recipes, section on canning, leftovers and what to do with them, calories chart, quantity cooking for a crowd, and ‘Pack a Lunch a Man Can Work On, and a Child Can Grow on.’ The cake section shows recipe variations by name of cook. Vintage, previously owned and used. Spiral binding and soft covers are in good condition. Pages are yellowing from age. Previous owner(s) made notes on the pages (book included blank pages for that, as well). Great collectible and in good condition overall. Stored in my smoke-free home.
