An antique large & heavy butcher meat cleaver knife, model number 5288, signed and made by Dexter, USA. Carbon steel blade and rosewood handle. Not cleaned or sharpened. Marked on the blade and handle with the traditional signature logo and model number (see close-up photos). Measures a full 13 ¾ inch long. Blade edge measures 8 inch long and 4 ¼ tall at the front. Handle is 6 ¼ inch long. Weighs 2 pounds 9 ounces before boxing. Condition is good for the age and years of usage. NOT cleaned or sharpened. There is a crack on one side of the wood handle and several notches on the top flat edge of the blade (see close-up photos).
