Vintage 1973 Men's Timex Automatic Watch Crosshair Dial, Serial #46660 3273

Please come back often, as we are always buying more goodies to list on ebay. This listing is for a vintage 1973 Timex men’s automatic watch. Watch is gold plated stainless steel. It’s an automatic self winding and it starts running with little movement, but I haven’t tested it long term, nor have I checked its accuracy for time keeping. There is a date indicator on the dial and the dial has a horizontal line pattern. I don’t know when it was last serviced, but if the new owner intends to wear it daily, he or she will want to have this done soon upon delivery, as this is an old item. This is a vintage, pre owned item that shows some signs of wear and age. It’s still a striking looking piece, with its gold dial and case, and black accents and lettering on the gold dial. The main show of wear and age is that there’s a crack in the crystal. There are also a lot of lighter scuff marks on the crystal as well, so this probably needs replacing. There is also wear to the gold plating along the sharp edges and corners, but most the plating is intact and the watch still appears gold. The serial # on the base of the dial is 46660 3273. Watch case measures 34 mm across. The new owner is responsible for providing the watch band as this watch doesn’t have one. The watch is working at the time of writing this listing, but the new owner should factor in some expense for the watch’s restoration and maintenance. I know nothing of this watch’s history or when it was last serviced and can make no guarantees as to its continuing function. There is always some risk involved when buying aged mechanics, and you are buying this watch AS IS. I will check to see that the watch still works before shipping and take video of this for my records, which I’m happy to share with the buyer. If I discover the watch has stopped working while in storage, I will contact the buyer so they may have the option of backing out of the sell or renegotiating the price.
