Very pleased to offer this extremely rare and absolutely wonderful early 1900’s composition German Santa airplane candy container. The composition head of Santa is beautifully hand painted and has a red felt collar around his neck and his red hat is glittered. He is sitting in a wooden airplane with 3 red painted tin wheels that move freely, covered in loofa and snow covered accents. The wooden airplane has a revolving propeller, mica covered wings and the back of the plane can be filled with tiny antique toys, trees or candy. He is wonderful in every way and oh so rare! He is unmarked but definitely of German origin. Remaining in superb age-related condition he measures 7 1/2″ long X 7″ wide X 4 1/2″ high. He has been part of my personal collection for years. What an exceptional piece to add to your collection of antique Santas!
