A 4″ tall hard paste porcelain scent bottle by the Meissen Manufactury. It is decorated with hand painted floral sprays. The top of the bottle is in the shape of a dolphin’s head, the details of which are molded into the surface, not merely painted on. It is unmarked and undamaged. Another of this model resides in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, accession number 03.387, viewable online via their collection search (search “scent”).
