Handmade in Mexico, this Mexican folk art tin Milagros wood cross is one of a kind. Milagros are carried for good luck, left at saint’s statues for prayers and hung in the home for miracle blessings. Hand carved wood cross. Painted pretty white with a layer of tin on the front. The artist embossed the tin with brilliant rays behind the 3D sacred heart, leaves behind the leg Milagro and added floral scallops around the edges. After the application of tin and Milgros, the artist rubbed black paint onto the top for antiquing and rubbed it to a sparkly finish. On the front, the artist applied 5, hand nailed, silver tin miracle Milagros : An arched Sacred heart with flame, a stomach for food or ailment, a gloved hand of friendship and a leg for walking or strength. A hole is carved into the back for wall hanging. An excellent Ex Voto, offering and special gift.
