* * * * TIFFANY STERLING COMPOTE WITH ROSES DESIGN * * * * For sale is an attractive antique solid sterling silver compote made by Tiffany & Co. circa 1914. It measures 6 5/8″ in diameter by 2 1/2″ tall; compote bowl 7/8″ deep with footed base 3″ in diameter. Weighs 244 grams and is not weighted. Decorated with roses and leaves along the border and center medallion. It has date marks for the 1907 – 1947 period: the pattern number dates it to around 1914. This Tiffany compote is in excellent original used condition, with clear details and minimal wear. It has a striking engraved monogram ” MH “.
