This Near Fine condition book in a near fine dust jacket is a 1997 first edition; first printing, hardcover. There is an autograph and a note on inside flap. This book was used in a CNN Rowland Evans & Novak interview of Donald Trump on December 27, 1997, just before the Lewinsky scandal broke. Trump appeared on CNNs “Evans & Novak” and described himself as very conservative and generally Republican. Evans left his notes that were written on two blue cards for the interview with Donald Trump inside the book when he gifted it to a friend. Rowland Evans was a provocative newspaper columnist, commentator and author who championed conservative causes. Reportedly both Evans & Novak voted for JFK in 1960. Evans had a particular close friendship with Robert F. Kennedy and his wife Ethel. He also entertained JFK in his Georgetown home.
