Staffordshire Tithe Pig Group This early Tithe pig groups fashioned after Louis Boitard’s 1750s engraving of “tithing” the 10th child and pig . I would guess this is a later piece from the Kent Factory dating to the late 19th early 20th Century. Approx 6″H X 5″W. Documentation: There are similar pieces documented in the Schkolne Staffordshire Book Volume 2, p. 251, however this is probably a late 19th, early 20th Century piece produced by the Kent factory as there are two documented styles produced by them and the faces are less detailed Condition: Handle basket missing, top of bocage missing, paint wear, otherwise minor imperfections to be expected I will be listing a large Collection of Staffordshire, many pieces deaccessioned from a Museum so please continue watching.
