Lambert’s (1935-2023) culinary legacy continues to inspire through his beloved cookbooks and contributions to Knoxville’s culinary scene. With a special contribution by Anne Wayland Lambert From back cover: Growing up, Walter Lambert learned to cook out of necessity. As an adult he learned it could be a lot of fun. Walter has written a series of cookbooks, the first of which was called Kinfolk and Custard Pie , followed by the very popular Cooking with the Noonday Chef 1, 2, and 3 . He has also been a restaurant reviewer for The Knoxville News Sentinel , and since May of 1989 has been the chef on WKXT’s and later WVLT’s popular noon news program. His wife, Ann, has been a cookbook collector all her life, and for several years now has devoted much of her effort to garnishing and presentation. Her centerpieces are a regular part of Volunteer News at Noon . Walter is retired as Associate Vice President for State and Federal Relations for the University of Tennessee where he worked for almost 35 years. Condition: Preowned, in good condition. Very minimal damage to the cover, but no holes or tears. Binding has minimal wear.
