Sweet William seeds can be started indoors or directly outdoors in spring of fall. Dianthus Barbatus is a compact and bushy growing plant that forms attractive, 18 inches across domes of a myriad of radiant little flowers with fringed petals of red, pink, purple or violet. The very sweetly scented flowers of blooming Sweet William appear from spring to fall attracting bees and butterflies. Sweet William is widely planted in borders, flower beds, and cutting gardens.
