Up for sale is this superb and extra rare vintage Rolex Tudor Oyster SUSSEX with BLACK GILT dial in SUPERB CONDITION for its age VIDEOS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST FOR DIAL SHINE UNDER THE LIGHT and RADIUM COUNT 1) The dial is as good and rare as one can find. It is black with gilt lettering, still shiny. It is not perfectly black as it shows some natural aging but it has been superbly conserved. It has never retouched, never repainted, 100% original dial with original radium lume. This one features the sub second at 6 o’clockl 2) The original gilt pencil hands are also in excellent condition. The lume on the hands and dial are all original 3) The case is very strong and worn over the years but still has strong lugs and present really well. I dont believe the case was polished. 4) The case back has the serial dating the watch the the 1949-50s and model number (4540) stamped 5) The original movement caliber 59 with 17 jewels has been serviced and received a new mainspring (for a total of 320$) and is under warranty for the remaining 6-7 months I believe (service was in May 2021). it will come with the service paper from the local watchmaker 6) The crown is also original and has some wear (see photo). It is still catching the tube that is also original and used.
