Reborn LONDON by Jen Printy

This alert baby girl is an authentic reborn London doll as sculpted by Jen Printy. She is a 22-inch handmade doll with a medium-light complexion, rosey cheeks and painted slightly wavy brown hair. She is made of vinyl and cloth material and has beautiful blue eyes. Her vinyl head and 3/4 limbs are attached to a fully-jointed faux doe suede body sleeve. She has two magnets in her head, one near her mouth for a pacifier and one on the top of her head for a magnetic hair decoration. Those were placed by Haydee in about 2017 so I can’t guarantee that they are functional. The magnetic pacifier is not meant to be left attached for long periods of time. It should be thought of as a photo prop and removed when not needed for that purpose. London has a thumb and fingers that can be gently placed in her mouth if you feel it is necessary. Chipping the paint of her lips or the inside of her mouth is a definite possibility. I’ve never used a pacifier for my dolls for longer than it takes to snap a photograph. I didn’t even do that much with London. She comes with a few extra items, including a light-weight blanket, stuffed toy, two extra outfits, a magnetic pacifier, and a pair of shoes and socks. London represents a Caucasian baby of about 6 months old. She is suitable for adult collectors aged 17 years and up. She is a big girl with a rounded tummy, weighing in at 7.5lbs! She is very posable and fun to photograph, especially if she has a companion to pester. All of the photos without clothing were taken on 12/8/2024 using my i-phone without flash. I used the room’s overhead lighting and natural light from a window as light sources. The majority of the photos where she is dressed were taken at night, without flash, and some were taken with natural light. You can easily tell the difference. No modifications were made to these photos with the exception of cropping. As you can see in the pictures, her skin tone is excellent. London can sit up without being supported by pillows and has wonderful balance. Haydee has done a remarkable job in creating a truly life-like appearance for London. When I looked at the photos of her bare limbs, I truly thought that they could have been taken of an actual child. I’ve done my best to accurately show you the details of this reborn doll. I believe her only flaw is the tear in the fabric near her joint for the right thigh. There is also a photo that shows a baby’s scratch on her thigh. It is painted and I believe it was intentional, though it could be from an accident during the process of being reborn. She will arrive with her authentic COA signed by Jen Printy (see photos) and her “Birth Certificate”, which is signed by Haydee. This doll was reborn from a London limited edition kit, one of 500 kits produced. I found no defects or issues while photographing her today beyond that described. She has been lovingly cared for since I adopted her on 11-23-2020. Given her excellent condition, I feel confident that this baby has never been played with and has served as a display piece since her “birth” in 2017.
