I bought a new battery (on 10/23/24) and Smart Media card (as seen in the photos) for this camera. I installed the battery (clean battery compartment) and the camera does power up. An “E” displays on the small screen. So I looked up the error code and according to the manual, the E stands for “Corruption or deletion of SmartMedia data.” The manual went on to give possible solutions. I think it has to do with initializing the SmartMedia card, but not 100% sure. When I bought the camera, it still had the protective film (blue) on the inside, which I had removed. Please review the photos carefully, you will receive what is shown in the photos (except the stand). Thanks!
