This CNC machined, and fully polished stainless steel (NO RUST!) component is a great way to vent your 9″ Ford rearend. (Or most any other rear axle for that matter). Simple, effective, and great looking. It has a 7/16-20 mounting thread. Just drill your hole with a 25/64ths drill bit (.3906), tap (7/16-20), and insert! NO MORE HOSES! There is NOTHING out there cooler! IN STOCK for immediate shipping! This is the same vent I used on my “Spirit of ’47” 5W coupe! (as shown) I LOVE it! You will too! Please note the second photo. It shows two holes. One through the center, and one in the head. The rear end will vent up through the hole in the middle, and then out through the hole in the head. Notice also that the threads stop, and will not allow the vent to bottom out on the axle tube, allowing a gap for the escaping air to exit the axle. And, as far as tightening goes?, well that’s what the two machined flats on the head are for. It allows for a 1/2″ open end wrench to tighten. Also note, it is a 7/16-20 thread, so it probably won’t simply replace any stock vent the rear end may already have. You will have to drill a hole to the correct size (not 7/16, but .3906, a 25/64ths drill bit), and then tap (7/16-20) as the listing states. Hot Rodders, Thank You for your support!
