For sale is a teaspoon in the rare JAPANESE pattern by Whiting, introduced in 1874. The piece is 6 inches long and weighs 22 grams. It is monogrammed “LLT” on the handle back. The piece is marked with the Whiting trademark, “I.B. LIBBEY”, “PAT. 1874” and “STERLING”. Condition on the spoon is fair. There are minor bowl dings and handle bends, and the pattern has considerable wear. Still a decent spoon in a scarce pattern!
