It has the 12 tube! The sound is so sensitive and crisp, I really don’t want to sell it but I don’t have the studio equipment to use it. From the Peluso website: The Peluso 22 47 Limited Edition is styled after the legendary Neumann U 47 that was m anufactured in the 1950s and 60s. The revolutionary sensitivity of the U 47 brought extraordinary detail to recorded sound. Remembered for its use by artists from Frank Sinatra to the Beatles, it is perhaps the most well known microphone of all time. This mic is an excellent choice for wide range of applications, from rock drums and guitar amps, to brass instruments and vocals. The LE is built with the highest quality modern components and designed to perform as the U 47 did when it was new. The U 47 was designed around the same Telefunken steel-covered tube as te U 47 , and the LE employs a true vintage German ‘EF’ style steel tube manufactured between the 1940s and the 1960s. The 22 47 LE brings all the subtlety of tone, detail, and character of a vintage U 47, combined with the reliability and quiet noise floor required in the modern recording environment. The 22 47 LE has the additional feature of 9 polar patterns, controlled from the power supply. It captures the low frequency nuances of the original U 47 with smooth mids and balanced highs. The 22 47 LE microphone comes as a complete system including: 22 47 LE Microphone in a Wood Box, Power Supply, and a Shock Mount all packed in a Flight Case. MSRP for a new one is $3,410 USD This mic is like new. It picks up every nuance of breath and tone. I don’t use it as I’m not recording anymore. The only thing missing is those hair-tie rubber band things that give spring to the mic mount. Music store says $1 hair ties will work just as well as the $40 ones the manufacturer sells.
