Also, different brands have different ways of sizing – similar to how you might wear a different size in one clothing or footwear line vs another. It’s not always consistent among the thousands of brands that exist. The shape of the lens and the size of the bridge also play a part in sizing and fitting……. The diameter of one lens is how the ‘size’ of the frame is determined . The diameter of a circle eyeglass lens is smaller than the diameter of a rectangle lens, but these frames could fit the same face. For example, a ROUND 49mm frame would fit the same face as a RECTANGLE 54mm frame. The size of the bridge (nose piece) also plays a part – this affects the width of the entire frame as well as how it fits on YOUR nose. Frame sizing is more involved than just one number. I wear glasses that range from eye size 49mm to 55mm. Shopping for frames online is something that I do not encourage. My hope is that you have tried this frame on somewhere else OR that this is a replacement frame for you. Otherwise, please understand the risk involved in purchasing this frame from me if it doesn’t fit the way you were hoping, as I do not accept returns. If this IS a replacement frame, MAKE SURE THE SIZING MATCHES. Most frame models come in multiple size options. Reach out if you need help with this.
