The extended fit 1 nch Muncie countershaft designed by Paul Cangialosi was designed to maximize case bore contact area in stock Muncie cases as well as aftermarket Autogear type cases. Chamfers have been reduced as well as rear case bore surface press area length increased. Fits stock Muncie cases with casting numbers: 3885010 3925660 3925661 Rear portion of shaft is threaded with a 3/8-16 thread so that you can bolt the shaft to your Super 661 nodular iron or billet aluminum midplate ( also available in my Ebay store). The Super661 Muncie countershaft is the preferred shaft used by top rebuilders and is made from 8620 heat treated alloy steel and ground to correct dimensions.
