Plant the seeds. great for fall planting. Directions below: Paper Bag Shake Method for Milkweed Seed Separation · Pull apart milkweed pod. Place floss and seeds into paper bag. · Close top of paper bag and shake until seeds fall to the bottom. · If you are outside and want to have some fun, you can open the top of the bag so that the floss floats out as you pull on the opposite corners of the bag. The floss will exit and the seeds remain. · Cut off one of the corners from the bottom of the bag to remove the separated seeds. · For improved germination, “cold stratify” the seeds before planting by placing them in a wet paper towel. Put the wet paper towel with the seeds in a cup or plastic bag and place in the refrigerator for a week. This process simulates the winter conditions seeds experience in nature.
