McDonalds Franchise Award Sheridan Silver Plate Water Pitcher No Sterling Coke. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. Very unique McDonalds, silver plated pitcher. I bought this at the estate sale of a former McDonalds employee. Well that’s up for debate, she was either a franchise owner or a higher level corporate employee. One of the people working the sale said she thought she was an employee. Based on the items at the same I believe she was a franchise owner. There was a 14k gold and diamond McDonalds necklace at the sale. I don’t believe those were given to employees. More than likely she was a franchise owner and this was an award of some type. This could be a one of a kind item. I’m unable to find another so at the very least it’s very rare. Perfect for the person with a rare McDonalds memorabilia collection. The silver plate could use a very intense polishing and the tarnish is strong. I will leave that up to the new owner as most collectors appreciate items in “as found” condition. The pitcher is made by Sheridan which is a division of Taunton Silversmiths LTD. Taunton is in Massachusetts which is where this item was found. It’s made of brass electroplated in silver. I see a lot of silver plated stuff and I believe brass isn’t used much in modern goods. This indicates this item has some age. The inside is tarnished as well. The bottom is nearly perfect. It’s quite heavy and weighs in at over 1.5lbs. I will ship this ASAP! I think it’s probably worth much more than the price I am selling it for as this is an incredibly rare find.
