I bought Special No. 22, plus Super Special No. 12, used. They have creases from someone folding the back inside cover to reveal the Mad fold-in. The rest of the issues here have no back creases. I never creased the fold-ins, I mostly ignored them or bent them slightly to reveal the image without creating a crease. The later issues I never read. While I was working full time I bought Mad issues religiously when I saw a new one at the grocery store, thinking I’d read them when I retired. I haven’t yet, I have other outweighing interests so far, and am decluttering my house. Special 24 cover has a tear as shown. All of the special bonuses mentioned on covers are there and still attached, comics, posters, stickers, diplomas, awards, certificates and more.
