We have always been fans of sonic clarity and it certainly helps in making a track stand out in the mix. In the old analog days, when everything was missing some high frequencies, you could add some highs to your EQ to make a track . In today’s digital clarity age, adding highs via EQ can make things sound thin and brittle.
