I was nine years old and i remember reading this book years later in junior high school. To have it in my personal collection is a real gift. The pictures of the state funeral are in great detail, the pictures coverage of the entire weekend walks you through history and tragedy. For those of us that lived through it, it refreshes memories long ago forgotten and for those not alive, it allows you a walk through a most tragic weekend. The photography makes the book. From the picture of JFK in the crowd in Ft. Worth that Friday morning to the picture of the floral arrangements on the fence of his grave at Arlington late night Monday after his state funeral. What I found most interesting is the listing of every head of state in attendance at the state funeral – listed in the back of the book – of over 80 countries and over 200 dignitaries in attendance.
