Ipomoea purpurea is an annual morning glory species which almost everyone new to growing vines grows first. Cultivar ‘Yuriko’ is enchanting with its white split petal flowers and the faint yellow color streak in each lobe. Please review the attached photos for what the flowers looked like. The leaves were 3 point shaped and were way different from the heart shapes this species typically produces. Why not grow something different this year? Please be aware that the plant’s flowers are open pollinated. There is a small chance for cross-pollination.
