Ipomoea purpurea is an annual morning glory species which almost everyone new to growing vines grows first. Cultivar ‘Natsuko’ is enchanting with its tan-brown split petal flowers. Please review the attached photos for what the flowers looked like. The leaf shape was different from the heart shapes this species typically produces, with 3 deeply cleft lobed shapes. Why not grow something different this year? Please be aware that the plant’s flowers are open pollinated. There is a small chance for cross-pollination.
