Souvenir of the Hotel Taft in New York Clear glass with raised, ribbed sides. Yellow lettering at center: Hotel Taft, New York. Could be used as trinket dish or ashtray Measures approx. 4” across, 1” tall The Manger Hotel opened in 1926 and was renamed the Taft in 1931. The country musician Jimmie Rogers died at the hotel in 1933. After closing in the 1980s, the hotel went through several permutations and is open today as The Michelangelo. Good condition, no issues
