Here I have listed Small Heirloom Comfrey Root Cuttings. While preparing my potted comfrey plants for winter I rescued a lot of roots and root pieces for starting new plants. Pictured is an example of the roots you will receive. Since these were “rescued” from overgrown pots they may be any odd shape! This listing is for 3 of my small size roots. I also have available large and medium root pieces. If interested please see separate listings! I do not use any non-organic sprays or fertilizers on my plants. I am not a certified organic nursery. I am just a homesteader trying to live a healthy life! This is Heirloom Comfrey which will spread itself by seed or by root! If you have a small garden or do not want your comfrey spreading like crazy you may prefer my Bocking 14 Comfrey. See my listing for Bocking 14 Comfrey Plants. I also ship the Heirloom Comfrey Plants as bare roots. See separate listing. Comfrey has a very deep root system. Consequently it brings up nutrients from far below. It is a very hardy perennial herb plant. USES FOR COMFREY: Some use comfrey for salves and such. It makes excellent garden plant fertilizer! It grows fast. When it is ready to bloom or blooming you can cut it down and use the large leaves as mulch around your plants or you can use the leaves to make a tea for your plants or just add the leaves to your compost pile. Pollinators love the flowers! Last but not least, it is a nutritious and delicious green feed for chickens, goats, pigs, cattle, etc. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or any issues with placing your order! I am here to assist you! 🙂 I generally check emails at least 2 times a day (except not on Sunday), so I generally will get back with you promptly! Please check out my other listings as well.
