Authentic Harper’s Weekly dated October 5, 1867: Please see photos for more information Hand-colored by a professional artist in the 1990’s (artist unknown – this is information I received from my father, who gave me this item) Double centerfold page woodblock sketch “The Ceremonies of Dedication of the National Cemetery on the Battlefield of Antietam, Maryland” [sketched by Charles G. Bush]. The cemetery was dedicated on September 17, 1867, on the Fifth Anniversary of the battle. The reverse side has an accompanying five-paragraph article that includes a key to the diagram indicating where soldiers from each state are buried. There are also a few other statistics in the article. Shipping : Stored in a clear acid-free plastic sleeve with one end open. Will be safely mailed flat and well-supported by cardboard in a poly bubble-mailer. I happily combine shipping for like items. Shipping for each additional newspaper is an additional $1.
