GRIMM’S FAIRY TALES, by Jakob and Wilhelm Grimm, Illustrations by Leonard Weisgaard (illustrator of 150 book,s winner of 1947 Caldecott Medal for the Best Picture Book Of The year, undated 1950s HB with whimsically illustrated covers and spine, DJ, 250 pp. printed on faintly crea-colored matte-finished stock is is bright at ag 60-79, very good-plus condition (clean and tightly bound, bright covers and pages, would rate higher but for small bumps at upper tips of covers; price-clipped DJ is bright and clean with a chip and small wrinkle at upper front edge and adjacent tip, very slight rubbing in areas of vertical spine edges). *The only full-color interior page faces the title page; all other are finely detailed B&W drawings. No authors other than the Grimm Brothers have created as many durable tales as the Brothers Grimm. These lovely book features 32 stories, many of them treasures that have remained popular over the centuries. There are dozens of collections on eBay, but for some reason this one’s uncommon.with no exact match. When you enter the title on Google, you see dozens of copies, all without DJs, making mine a sweet find. The Buy-It-Now price of $20.00 includes shipping with stiff cardboard backing in a padded envelope via media mail, which takes around 7 days with tracking, less in California.
