These coasters are lacquerware from 1960s Japan. They are plastic, with the look and feel of melanine dinnerware. They are beautifully designed, with a fanciful floral pattern (including black leaves). The floral arrangement sits on a tan “plaid” background which is painted on a curve, so it has a warp. The base color is brown. The undersides are black. There is no visible damage. Each coaster is 4-1/8” across and 1/2” high.
