Artists can mix the water-soluble colors with other Fine-Tec paints and other paint media to create unique shades and accents. They adhere to various absorbent surfaces, including paper, wood, and stone. Made with mica and modern pearlescent and iridescent pigments, these sparkling watercolors were developed with artists and calligraphers for their versatility and uniqueness. The iridescent colors appear light and nearly transparent on a light-colored background, and they shimmer depending on the point of view and incidence of light. The pearlescent paints show their luminance best on a dark surface. Pans measure approximately 1-1/16″ in diameter, are removable from the tin palette, and are replaceable. Each travel tin has mixing areas and space for a couple of short-handled brushes. Non-toxic.
