Eastern Spikenard, Aralia racemosa, or American Spikenard is a hardy perennial to zone 3 through 9. A good medicinal plant. They develop berries when matured, after a couple seasons. The seeds need a cold period to germinate. Put seed in refrigerator (on a damp napkin in a zip bag) for 3 months before planting. Planting seed outdoors in fall is more beneficial as natures winter cycle may be better. Barely cover seed with soil and keep moist. Work seedlings up in pots as they are slower growers. Once large enough you may plant where you want them. They will be fine in a pot overwinter the first year. Likes sun. The pictures show what the plants will look like. 30 seeds per pkg. NOTE: You will receive 10 dried berries in which contain at least three seeds. 10 berries x 3 seeds each is 30 seeds per pkg.
