Dendrobium Nobile species ( Orchid Keiki ). Here are new young shoots (keiki) growing from pseudobulbs. Seedlings are 1 inch or more in length and have grown more than one root. This is a species of Dendrobium (Dendrobium nobile Lindl.), not a hybrid. Dendrobium nobile Lindl. is a type species of Dendrobium, which has high ornamental, medicinal and ecological values. Plants were collected in Asia and grown in the US. (The annual average temperature in the original growing area is 18.1°C / 64F, the highest average temperature in July is about 28°C / 82F, and the lowest average temperature in January is about 7.9°C / 46F) Figures 1 and 2 are samples of the flowering of this plant. Figure 3 shows the seedlings for sale, but the unit of measurement for sale is one branch, which is sent randomly. Figure 4 is a suggested planting demonstration. I use 50% volcanic rock, 40% pine bark and 10% sphagnum moss and they grow healthy. You can adjust the proportion of planting material according to your local climate or planting experience. When you replant, don’t cut the new shoots from the old pseudobulbs, plant them whole.
