Our store is offering a DeGoogled Moto G7 Play XT-1952T running LibreMobileDroid (Android 14). The LMODroid operating system offers a debloated, more private android experience with performance features. We did do our due diligence in testing so the devices do function well. For those new to using degoogled Operating Systems As you are probably aware, Android operating system was created to be dependent on Google Services. Therefore, there are few things to circumvent to make the device function more like a stock Moto G7 Play 1. Apps—- without the Google Playstore you will need an alternative app store. Our recommended options are either downloading them anonymously through Aurora Store or through F-droid. Fdroid should be installed by default. Aurora store can be found inside of fdroid. Note that apps outside of Fdroid can be proprietary. Not only maybe they have trackers but maybe be built to depend on Google Services 2. Proprietary (Closed Source) Apps—Unfortunately the most sophisticated and popular apps tend to be proprietary. If you must use them you’ll need to spoof Google services using MicroG so notifications will work as well as login. Tip: Aurora store does have a tracker index on their pages. You can see just what permissions and trackers are laced with that app. If you download apps outside a play store than the Exodus app can give the same permissions and tracker information. 3. Location/Navigation—if you must use application that need to have your location then MicroG is need. MicroGs job is to spoof Googles map functionality and connect it with opensource Lastly, as time passes you’ll likely have questions or need support. We recommend going to the official LMOdroid site or their telegram group. You’ll find plenty of like-minded users and the developers themselves active.
